Katz's: Reviews & Ratings
Katz has turned into our go to spot for breakfast and brunch anytime our family wants to do a get together! We have never been letdown here! The service, the food, and the location are wonderful.
Katz is consistent and reasonably priced. Service can vary as with this particular visit. Our server was a little absent, but we did choose to sit outside whereas the majority of people were inside... nevertheless the spinach artichoke dip is delicious. I got the French dip which was slightly bland, and as you'll see in the picture, I never got the au jus. My husband had a shrimp dish and it was all delicious.. I had the Keylime martini because the server said it was unique to Katz deli.. it was OK.
So, as you know, I RARELY rate any restaurant with a 5. Mostly because there is always room for improvement. However, this restaurant exceeded my expectations. We arrived at 1130am on a Sunday morning. We were a group of 3. Right away i noticed the 24/7 open sign, which generally gives me the impression that something is not gonna be so good. Mostly because employees want weekends off or a better schedule and being open 24 hrs. makes it hard to have round the clock good help. The hostess was smiling and welcoming. Our server looked happy and was helpful, thorough, knowledgeable, and attentive. There wasn't a long wait for our food. I ordered the Spinach frittata without the pastrami. The other 2 ordered the breakfast bowl. Everything was delicious! The choices are a little overwhelming, but the food was so tasty, reasonably priced and I appreciated the big portions!
This place was truly amazing. The efficiency of the staff Gabby handled our table order and did not drop the ball. The food was 10 out of 10. Everything was delicious. The quality of the food was on point. We definitely will be back.
The second I walked in. I had a very nice atmosphere especially being considered in the LGBTQ community. It was very nice and I felt very comfortable. The energy and the atmosphere was very tea and I liked it the whole Amanda was very nice. She said it just Siri doesn’t make us feel very welcome. The bartender in addition was very nice. I felt very welcome and the drinks were amazing. We loved filling their wonderful got back with my ex that night.
This was my first time to this location, Westheimer. I enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I was glad I could share my meal with my 11 month old. The waitress was kind and patient with us.
First time eating at Katz Deli. The Blackened Chicken Philly was really good. The Chicken Fried Chicken was also really good. The sweet potato fries are comparable to any other restaurant that serves them. They were good, but nothing special. The Mac & Cheese was dry and not really good, wouldn’t recommend it at all. Also, got a kids meal chicken tender and fries. The c hi sicken tenders were very dry and hard like they were overcooked. I will give this place another try because if the large menu, but if the food is dry again, I won’t be spending any more money with them.
The interior is inspired by a older NYC subway station, with the white tiles and the tile sign. Had some interesting and creative menu selections. Best chocolate cake we have had in a long time. Very good matzo ball soup
